Kashrut
All Shiloh wines proudly carry certifications from three reputable Kashrut agencies, ensuring the highest standards of kosher supervision:
-
Mateh Binyamin Mehadrin.
-
Tartikov, under the supervision of Rabbi Yechiel Babad.
-
OU (Orthodox Union.
Every bottle of Shiloh wine is Kosher for Passover and Parve (non-dairy), certified Mehadrin, and suitable for year-round consumption. This makes Shiloh wines an ideal choice for those who uphold the strictest standards of kashrut, whether for daily use, Shabbat, or the holidays.
In addition to strict kosher practices, Shiloh Winery embraces a deep commitment to biblical values and Jewish tradition. As part of its winemaking process, Shiloh separates tithes from its production in accordance with Torah commandments. A portion of the wine is designated and given to the descendants of the Levites, in keeping with the ancient mitzvah of Ma'aser Levi (Tithe for the Levites).
Furthermore, in the third and sixth years of the seven-year Shmita (sabbatical) cycle, the winery fulfills the mitzvah of Ma'aser Ani (Tithe for the Poor). During these years, Shiloh sets aside a special quantity of wine specifically for distribution to families in need. With the help of Social Services and respected charity organizations, these bottles are delivered free of charge to households facing financial hardship.
These wines, distributed as an act of compassion and faith, are marked with the special label: עַשֵּׂ֣ר תְּעַשֵּׂ֔ר
